Satyam S. Sahay elected as a 2021 Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering

University of Utah alum Dr. Satyam Sahay has been elected as a 2021 Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) in recognition of his distinguished contributions to engineering and technology. The Fellowship, effective from Nov. 1, 2021, will be virtually conferred to him during the INAE Annual Convention in Dec. 2021. The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) is India’s apex body of distinguished engineers and scientists covering all engineering disciplines. It promotes engineering & technology and related sciences for their application to solving problems of national importance. Only 13% of INAE Fellows are from Dr. Sahay’s age group. Dr. Sahay received his PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah before joining John Deere in 1995, where he is responsible for Advanced Engineering at the Enterprise Technology and Engineering Center (ETEC). He drives competency structure and provides technical leadership at ETEC. He was elected as a John Deere Fellow – Materials Engineering in the first batch of John Deere Fellows in 2015. He is also a member of the Enterprise Analytics Leadership Team and drives the business impacting analytics initiative at JD India. He was also recognized as an ASM International Fellow in 2013 from the foremost professional society of materials engineering. He serves in editorial boards of five international journals and has served as chair of several International Conferences in Materials Engineering. He is in the advisory and curriculum committees of multiple government engineering institutes in India. Congratulations to Dr. Sahay on this prestigious achievement! |
